Carrie Galindo, LmSW

Hi. I’m Carrie. I’m an LMSW located in Brownsville, Tx. I am also a mom and a widow, and I am particularly passionate about counseling and cultivating resilience in youth and young adults.

Life can feel overwhelming. I know this. Sometimes it can feel like it’s all too much. Too much pressure, too much pain, and too many unknowns. If this resonates with you, I promise you’re not the only one feeling this way. It’s part of being human, and your feelings are valid. All of them. I believe that with therapeutic support, it is possible to honor all of your emotions, to integrate all of your shadows, and to become a stronger and more peaceful person because of it.

Through self-compassion and creative expression we will begin to explore a shift in perspective. Utilizing a trauma-informed and evidence-based approach, we will revisit old pain and create new neural pathways of gentle understanding. As you allow the time and grace to process and heal, you can become more in tune with yourself and with others.

Whether you or your teen are struggling with life transitions, identity formation, grief, trauma, depression, or anxiety, I want you to know there is hope. You have a well of resources within you and I would be honored to hold space and start this journey with you.
